Best Monitors for GeForce RTX 3060 (2026)
NVIDIA sold the RTX 3060 as a 1080p card in 2021. The 12GB SKU is why that pitch aged better than the 8GB 3060 or an RX 7600: DLSS Super Resolution plus a 12GB buffer still make 1440p the honest 2026 pair, not a 60Hz 4K IPS or a 270Hz panel the raster will never fill. The last version of this page led with a discontinued LG 27GL850-B, then recommended the ASUS TUF VG289Q (4K 60Hz), a 32-inch Odyssey G7 240Hz, a 34-inch 180Hz ultrawide, and a 270Hz ROG. Those are leftover SKUs or the wrong pixel count. Ampere has DLSS 2, not Frame Generation. Use DisplayPort 1.4a for G-SYNC Compatible and the monitor’s full Hz — HDMI 2.1 on the card is for a TV. The AOC Q27G4 is the 27-inch 1440p 180Hz IPS I would plug a 12GB 3060 into first.

How We Tested
I treated the 12GB RTX 3060 as a 1440p card that needs DLSS Quality in new AAA, not a 4K GPU and not a 1080p leftover. The 8GB 3060 was a fail condition at 1440p ultra — that SKU stays on 1080p. Each panel had to hold G-SYNC Compatible over DisplayPort at the advertised max Hz; HDMI 2.0 on these 1440p screens still caps at 144Hz. Hardware G-SYNC modules and 240Hz+ 1440p were scored as wasted money. Fake HDR10 (400 nits, no dimming) was ignored. 27GL850-B, ViewSonic XG270QG, VG289Q, XG349C, XG27AQM, and Odyssey G7 32″ were treated as leftover or mismatched SKUs. Frame Generation was not in the test plan — Ampere does not have it.
Best Monitors for GeForce RTX 3060: Detailed Reviews
AOC Q27G4 View on Amazon
| Panel | 27″ Fast IPS · 1440p · ~109 PPI — the 2026 replacement for 27GL850’s 144Hz Nano IPS |
|---|---|
| Refresh | 180Hz on DisplayPort 1.4 · HDMI 2.0 is 144Hz. Use a 3060 DP jack |
| RTX 3060 | 12GB + DLSS Quality holds 1440p high. Competitive titles fill 180Hz native |
| VRR | NVIDIA G-SYNC Compatible / Adaptive-Sync. Enable G-SYNC in the NVIDIA Control Panel on DP |
| Skip if | You have the 8GB 3060 — that is 24G4, not this row |
Q27G4 (and Q27G4X in many regions) is the 27-inch G4 Fast IPS at 180Hz, not the old 27GL850 this page used to lead with. 144Hz Nano IPS was the 2019 answer. 180Hz Fast IPS with a height/tilt/swivel stand is the 2026 one. Plug DisplayPort from the 3060 — typically three DP 1.4a ports exist so you are not stuck on HDMI 2.0 at 144Hz. G-SYNC Compatible is certified Adaptive-Sync, not a $200 G-SYNC module. In NVIDIA Control Panel: Set up G-SYNC, full screen, the DisplayPort display. DLSS Quality in Cyberpunk / Alan Wake 2 is how you keep the FreeSync/G-SYNC window; native ultra with RT on is how you leave it. HDR400 is a brightness badge. Q27G4X is the same family if Q27G4 is thin in your store. Do not buy 240–270Hz 1440p for this GPU. The 3060 will feed 180Hz in the titles that matter and will not fill 270 in the titles that do not.
- 27″ 1440p 180Hz — matches 12GB and DLSS, not a 60Hz 4K leftover
- G-SYNC Compatible + a real stand, not Dell’s tilt plate
- Current G4 SKU, not a discontinued 27GL850-B
- HDMI is 144Hz — DP or you paid for 180 you cannot use
- HDR400 is marketing
Dell G2725D View on Amazon
| Panel | 27″ Fast IPS 1440p 180Hz — same job as Q27G4, usually less money |
|---|---|
| Ports | DP 1.4 = 1440p 180Hz VRR. Two HDMI 2.1 jacks are still 144Hz TMDS. Use DP |
| Stand | Tilt only — VESA 100×100. This is why it is value, not overall |
| RTX 3060 | Same 12GB + DLSS story. 8GB 3060 still does not belong here |
| Skip if | You need height/pivot without buying an arm — pay for Q27G4 |
G2725D is Dell’s current 27-inch QHD Fast IPS, not a G2724D leftover from older accessory pages. 180Hz on DisplayPort, Adaptive-Sync that NVIDIA will run as G-SYNC Compatible, ~400 nits, still not real HDR. The HDMI ports are advertised as 2.1 and still behave as 144Hz on a PC. The 3060 has DP 1.4a, so there is no reason to HDMI this panel. Tilt-only is the discount versus Q27G4’s full ergo. If you already own a VESA arm, G2725D is the buy. If the desk is a stock stand, Q27G4 is the buy. Do not hunt gray-market G2724D for a “better stand” unless the panel is cheap and you accept no warranty.
- Cheap 27″ 1440p 180Hz the 12GB 3060 can actually use
- DP 180Hz + Adaptive-Sync — G-SYNC Compatible in the NVIDIA panel
- Current Dell SKU, widely discounted
- Tilt-only stand
- HDMI is not the 180Hz path even when the box says 2.1
AOC 24G4 View on Amazon
| Panel | 23.8″ IPS · 1080p · ~93 PPI — sharp at a desk, not a 27″ 1080p smear |
|---|---|
| 8GB 3060 | 128-bit / 8GB is a 1080p card in 2026. This is its monitor |
| 12GB 3060 | Will outrun 180Hz in esports and hold ultra in AAA. You are leaving 1440p on the table |
| Replaces | The old “144Hz 1080p TN” habit. 24G4 is current G4 IPS |
| Skip if | You have 12GB and sit at 27 inches already — Q27G4 / G2725D |
This is the 1080p G4, not a consolation prize. The 8GB RTX 3060 (128-bit) is why this row exists: that SKU spills VRAM at 1440p ultra the same way an RX 7600 does. 12GB owners who play Valorant / CS2 all day will fill 180Hz native and never miss QHD. 27-inch 1080p is still a bad idea. DisplayPort for the full 180Hz VRR range. G-SYNC Compatible works. HDR10 is still fake. 24G4X if that is the listing in your region. Do not buy 240–360Hz 1080p unless you live in esports; the extra Hertz is empty in Cyberpunk and the panel usually costs more than Q27G4.
- 1080p 180Hz IPS the 8GB 3060 actually fills
- Height stand at a budget price
- Current G4 SKU, not a 144Hz TN leftover
- Wastes 12GB if you wanted a 1440p desktop
- Text is not 27″ QHD
Gigabyte M27QA View on Amazon
| Why this row | KVM and a better stand than G2725D. Not because it is “Premium HDR” |
|---|---|
| Drop | Samsung Odyssey G7 32″ 240Hz 1000R — smeary VA, 32″ 1440p, Hz the 3060 will not fill in AAA |
| Also drop | ASUS XG349C 34″ 3440×1440 and XG27AQM 270Hz — extra pixels or extra Hertz the 3060 does not have |
| RTX 3060 | Same 12GB + DLSS 1440p rules. KVM does not add CUDA cores |
| Skip if | You only game. Q27G4 is the 3060 monitor; this is the work+game 1440p |
The old Also Great energy on this URL was a 32-inch Odyssey G7. Inverse ghosting on a 1000R VA at 1440p is a bad combo with a midrange Ampere card that already sits in the 60–100 fps band in new AAA. M27QA is the Gigabyte 27-inch 1440p 180Hz that inherited M27Q’s KVM: one keyboard/mouse for a work laptop and the 3060 desktop. That is the reason to spend over G2725D. DisplayPort for 180Hz VRR. Same DLSS Quality speech. If the listing is M27Q X (240Hz), the 3060 will not feed 240 at 1440p in the games you bought a 3060 for. Stay on 180Hz QA. VG289Q 4K 60Hz from the old 4K section is still a mistake — HDMI 2.1 on the GPU is not a reason to buy a 60Hz 4K IPS.
- 180Hz 1440p with KVM — the dual-machine desk
- Better ergo than G2725D’s tilt plate
- Not a 32″ 240Hz curve or a 4K 60Hz TUF
- Overkill money if you only play games
- DLSS still required in heavy AAA, KVM or not

Frequently Asked Questions
Is the RTX 3060 a 1440p card in 2026?
The 12GB card is, with DLSS Quality in new AAA and native in esports. The 8GB 3060 is not — stay 1080p. Neither is a 4K card.
Does G-SYNC work on these monitors?
Yes, as G-SYNC Compatible over DisplayPort. Enable it in the NVIDIA Control Panel. You do not need a hardware G-SYNC module. HDMI often drops Hz and VRR.
HDMI or DisplayPort on a 3060?
DisplayPort 1.4a for a PC monitor. The card’s HDMI 2.1 is for a TV (4K 120Hz). Q27G4 and G2725D hit 180Hz on DP and 144Hz on HDMI.
Does the 3060 have DLSS 3 Frame Generation?
No. Ampere has DLSS Super Resolution (DLSS 2). Frame Generation is Ada (40-series). Use DLSS Quality at 1440p; FSR 3 FG in a few titles is a different, artifact-heavier option.
Should I buy a 4K or ultrawide monitor?
No. VG289Q 4K 60Hz and XG349C 3440×1440 were on the old page. 12GB and Ampere raster will not hold those in modern games. 27″ 1440p 180Hz.
What happened to the LG 27GL850 and Odyssey G7?
27GL850-B is discontinued — 27GS85Q is the Nano IPS follow-on. Odyssey G7 32″ 240Hz is a 1000R VA the 3060 will not fill in AAA. ViewSonic XG270QG and XG27AQM 270Hz are leftover money.
Final Verdict
RTX 3060 12GB is 1440p with DLSS, DisplayPort, G-SYNC Compatible. AOC Q27G4 is the default. G2725D if the stand can be an arm. 24G4 if the card is 8GB. 27GS85Q only if you want Nano IPS over Fast IPS. M27QA if you need a KVM. Use DP, ignore HDR400 badges, and leave 27GL850 / VG289Q / Odyssey G7 / XG349C in 2021.
